Disclaimers and Terms of Service
By completing the booking for your signing appointment, you agree to the following terms:
Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel a confirmed appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, a $25 cancellation fee will be automatically charged. This fee helps cover opportunity costs for other potential clients.
No-Show & Late Cancellation:
If you fail to appear at the scheduled address or cancel less than 12 hours before the appointment, you will be automatically charged a convenience fee. This fee includes travel, time to the signing location, and facility clearance costs.
Mobile notary appointments are always scheduled for 45 minute time blocks unless otherwise agreed upon.
A waiting fee may be assessed 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time at a rate of $1 per minute.
Inmate (Jail/Prison) Notary Services:
For inmate notary services, a jail convenience fee applies regardless of whether the inmate is aware of the appointment or decides to sign the documents. This fee is mandatory in all circumstances.
Additional Notary Requirements and Important Notices
Witness Requirements:
For documents such as Powers of Attorney, Wills, and Living Trusts, it is generally required to have 1-2 signature witnesses in addition to the notary. All necessary parties should be present at the signing. Witnesses must not be immediate family members of the signor nor have any interest in the transaction. The notary cannot provide witnesses.
ID Verification:
A current (unexpired) government-issued ID is required for identity verification prior to notarization—no exceptions. Paper copies or receipts are not accepted.
Signer Cognizance:
The signer must be fully cognizant and coherent and not under duress. The notary cannot notarize for someone who is not fully able to communicate and understand the documents being signed.
General Provisions:
By scheduling a notary appointment, you agree to adhere to these terms. We reserve the right to update or modify these terms as needed; any changes will be communicated via our website or directly to clients. No refunds will be issued if notarization cannot proceed due to the reasons outlined above.
Notary Disclaimer:
A mobile notary is not an attorney and is not authorized to practice law in California. We cannot draft legal documents or provide legal advice, including matters related to immigration or real estate.
